2 Peter has been Memorized

Glad to document that I'm now in my daily recital of 2nd Peter. It took me 20 days to hide in my heart and maybe I will need a week of daily recital to make it smooth. I'm now in the midst of Galatians 1st chapter, looking forward to complete all new verses by midst of next month (Feb 5-Mar 15, 2021). I had planned to try to review 1st Peter (last review was last year) at same time as taking new verses, but my progress is not so good for this one, things are getting busy. Anyway, the most important is that I am on track with my new verses and reviewing my "just memorized" ones.

I found the value of logging my progress, whenever I am on some delays, I look back on my logs and see how I recover, taking one step at a time, looking forward for the benefits I am reaping as I grow in the knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I felt being cleansed by His words, renewing my mind by reviewing His words than focusing on other non-essential things that adds burden in life. Thanks God for His words.

Here's my status now...I am giving myself a lot of grace periods, as long as I will continue I won't be too hard on myself because I know now that "underwhelm yet steady" is better than being "overwhelmed and stop".

Oct 9, 2019 I’m on the last chapter of Gospel of John already as below schedule and planning for my next book already. You've notice I gave a lot of grace to myself on my schedule. Two days ago I haven't reviewed any old book and then yesterday I memorized 1 verse only as I am not feeling so well, so I take a day off from work today and I just changed the plan that suites me.  Here I am after feeling quite well rested in the Lord's help, planning for my next book already, this is one of a critical part which I already got the hang of it and loving this stage, like a kick-off. Revised 5-Year Plan to Memorize New Testament (2019-2023) Note: 2nd Attempt That I didn't Achieved YET!

I was inspired from a post "You Can Memorize the New Testament" . Thus I created my initial ideal plan 5 year plan , which I posted on Dec 2015. However, I have a two year hiatus from 2017-2018 which I consider also a blessing for I know how was my life when I stopped this activity, then I have now revised my 5-year goal, in God's will and His grace. I've re-memorized my 8 books and Romans 8 from January to October 2019, in this image below at date of writing I am working on Romans. I'm praying for the Lord's strength to complete by end of 2023 and I am open to revise no matter what helps to complete this in God's grace. This excel file below has formulas and also has 2 days break or interval between books like a grace period, then I usually change 'Plan start date' depends if the 'Actual End Date' of the last book was different than planned. My Memorization Method and Schedule - Gospel of John on Final Month

Note that this is one of the series posts I created and summary is in Memorizing Methods page.   2-Oct-2019  My memorization method is almost similar to Andew Davis link here  but I modified it by not memorizing the references. I did write before this in this link when I first tried to memorize John though now I don't follow religiously the steps like 10 times reciting, I use lesser effort since I notice I became better on this as years goes by.  To give the insight above is my enhanced format of my daily memorization, currently on Gospel of John. To refresh, my method is daily 6 verses (just happens I am re-memorizing John that is why sometimes I put more verses on some days). I always remind myself the benefits I am reaping , and it naturally makes it easier for me to follow my schedules. Sometimes I would also get motivations from blogs of those who also memorize.
